I agree with Eli, if their sticking a coat hanger in their ear, they most likely already are brain damaged!

A person who would try this would probably be able to pass the hanger right through their head without causing any damage to their non-existent brain.

if someone wanted to stick a coat hanger in their ear i'd suspect that their brain was already damaged.

I think general pain would occur long before brain damage - and as we all know even a good nudge with a Q-tip can often "feel" like brain damage.

First you will destroy your tympanic membrane, then the middle ear bones, and then your cochlea. The hanger will then have to penetrate the temporal bone to get to the brain, so it's unlikely you will do anything but permanently destroy your hearing. Good luck!

At least stick it far enough to come out the other side, that should do it.

You may already have brain damage.
Let me ask, do you hit yourself in the head with a hammer because it feels so good when you stop?
Thought so.
