-until very recently a husband could brutally beat or rape his wife and it was not considered a crime - and that is still true in most of the world.

-women are still more likely to be a victim of crime in their own home than on the street

-women are practically nonexistent in positions of power

-women are barely mentioned in history

-god is called the Father, and of course when god came to earth, it was as a man, Jesus

-women in most muslim countries can not even have a job or drive a car and they are killed if they show so much as a finger

-men can sleep with whoever they want and they are praised, women are automatically called a whore if they sleep with one person that they are not married to

-the tradition is for women to change their last name to the man's becuase it was always considered a transfer of property

and I could go on and on and on

Well we know this is all true, but what the hell are you doing other than pointing out the obvious?!? Help change it. A guy can be a feminist too. And FYI superbowl sunday is the day that women all over the world are beaten and murdered by their boyfriends and husband at a higher rate than any other day.

But still there are enough men who respect women.
Today life has changed so that Muslim women get jobs, women sleep with many men &still not called a whore.And Earth in always Mother earth or u have Mother Nature.
A woman always get respect if she respects herself and doesn't compromise to let her down by anyone.

That is all true in minds living in the middle ages. At the moment the modern minds and souls only look at that facts as simple fragments of human history that if still exist nowadays, will be changed soon as knowledge and comprehension will reach those who don't respect women as a human being (not only a woman), or as distant historical facts that will not be repeat it again.
You should realize that in times when all you mention was the rules of life, many women woke up and stand up and face up against all that was wrong. They made revolutions changing those realities, since the begging of times, bringing the world until today where anyone (man or woman) can say whatever they want to the world thought the computer and doesn't need anyone else approving her/him to just be herself/himself.

Dude, seriously, those facts may be real, but rather than turn them into a wake up call for women, shouldn't they be a reason why YOU become the exception and not the rule? If you can see that these things happened in the past and are true, why not try to make the future better for everyone and treat women how they deserve to be treated? Yes, of course we realize that. That's why so many have become lesbians. I've told my husband that if we ever split up I will be alone or a lesbian myself. And I'm not gay at all. I just don't trust men not to hurt me.

Yes, I do realize this and that is why I have no respect for men at all. I don't need them in my life, ask them for no help. The only thing they can do that I can't is get a woman pregnant. ok... and what exactly is your point? i agree with you, my feminist growth is not that stunted, but where is this tirade culminating in a question? further, i'm glad you've taken a feminist-ally stance (or so it seems), but how is this effective in changing anything? at the end of the day, this question will fall to the last page of questions (litterally). what are you doing, presumably as a man who is aware of the privilege it grants him, to stop this?

don't get me wrong, i'm glad there are men who see this. i appreciate the dialogue, but there needs to be more action. saying all that, then basically telling women they are stupid or disillusioned is not the answer.
