I was watching this show on cable about european sports cars, and they said a new car is out that can go from 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds. Is that the fastest production street car around now?

Never heard of a Parotti. And what Lambo or Ferrari model?
There are tons of fast cars. The Evo 8 FQ400 can keep up with a Lambo Gallardo, and the Evo is tons cheaper. Other street legal cars that are faster than any Ferrari or Lambo is the Bugatti Veyron and the Koenigsegg CCX.

4.7 isn't much of a mark to beat - in fact, a Corvette Z06, Porsche 911 Carerra, WRX Sti and Mitsu Evo match that or beat it.
