Hi,,,, the answer is Mississippi,, that is where the author is from,, willie morris,,, But,,,,, we do Not have any covered bridges in Madison County,, (North of Jackson,Ms) so I think they filmed the movie in either Georgia,,, or up in New England,,,,, where they Do have covered bridges......
