Because teens bodies are aging faster these days. The pressures to "fit in" are more stronger than ever.

I can answer this accurately, i am 15, (never had sex) its just something new and interesting. At this age many kids want to rebel against their parents, so when their parents say no sex that just makes it more appealing. Also (and i know this is cliched) but peer pressure, if your bf is pressuring you to have sex, if you really love him you will do whatever to please you. Then there is always the drunk and stupid, a lot of teens go to parties at their friends house get drunk/high and have sex not even knowing what they are doing.

lack of parental involvement, and a lack of entertainment in communities that gear towards the younger generation. I remember at 11 hearing about underage clubs and such for 13+ and they all have since closed down. Rap music is now accepted with thier blatantly sexual lyrics. So its been a real long time since there has been anything for kids to do

hormones plus cause since im 14 to me sex is some fun pleasure that any can have and have fun with it, so I really be thinking about when I would have sex which would probably be when im 16 or 17 but any way cause society portraits it as a fun thing that any one can do and have fun with it.

I blame it on the media. So many shows that show people having sex and then young people think hey if they can do it why can't I.

well im 16, and yes ive had sex but its with some one i dearly love, i met him almonst 2 years ago and were geting married next year...so i really dont think kids do "it" to fit in or because of there hormones or because of rebelion...i think its mainly because the kids now days find some one of the oposite sex...then they think that they have fallen in love with the most wonderful person, in some cases it may be true for others maybe not....all you can do about this is teach your kids to have safe sex whether its using the birthcontrol pill or using condoms. because beleave me if your kid is going to do "it" there gonna do it weather or not you aprove, because in there minds they love this person dearly....

I wonder the same thing. I think that maybe they just want to feel grown. Its a pity that they do, if only they realized the stuff that they r getting there selves into.

Actually less and less people r doing it it just seems high because alot of people lie about there virginity to fit in.

because its natural phenomenon, young birds want to fly with tender wings, only they try and fall, similarly teens try to have till they realise they are not yet ready to have one.
