Purchase a Periodic Table.
Check the front or back cover of your textbook.
Treat the elements with respect.
They are proper nouns, e.g. Upper case letters followed by lower case letters, where applicable.
For your info:
Antimony = Sb (Stibium)
Chlorine = Cl
Copper = Cu (Cuprum)
Gold = Au (Aurum)
Iron = Fe (Ferrum)
Lead = Pb (Plumbum)
Magnesium = Mg
Mercury = Hg (Hydrargyrum)
Potassium = K (Kalium)
Silver = Ag (Agrum)
Sodium = Na (Natrium)
Tin = Sn (Stannum)
