every time i get into the car. I caught myself putting it on to move the car over one space so my husband could get out of the driveway. My children always wore theirs. If they unclicked it my car would magically stall. I'd pull off and say it wouldn't run until they put it back on.

I wear a seatbelt, not for the cops, but for my safetly. One of my colleague's brother was on a school trip and the driver hit the brakes so suddenly and this guy fell through the front windshield of the school van and cracked his skull. Somehow, that makes me wear a helmet if i'm riding or a seatbelt if i'm driving.
Please don't take silly chances in life...play bigger games in life.

I do wear my seatbelt, not because it's safer but because it's the law. Seatbelt laws are there for no other reason than to generate revenue for cities and counties. They should be like motorcycle helmet laws and we should have a choice, but they need the cash so we pay the fines.

i can honestly say that i wear my seatbelt ALL the time!!! when i'm in a vehicle.
i hate getting in a car that doesn't have seatbelts working properly.
and i hate it when i see people that AREN'T wearing seat belts, they're just asking to be thrown out the window if they get in an accident.
i especially don't like it when i see KIDS that aren't in their car seats, or kids that don't have their seatbelts on..it's the parents lack of responsibility that makes me so angry.
if they get in a car accident (heaven forbid), the parent is going to want to sue the other driver because their kid was thrown 20 ft. out the window. well hello!!! that wouldn't have happened if your kid would've had his seatbelt on!!!!
even if your just driving around the block or in your neighborhood, wear your seatbelt.
i don't have children yet, but i will DEFINATELY make them wear their seatbelt...no matter how much they yell or scream, they're going to wear their seatbelt, or sit in their car seat. i don't want to risk their lives.

When Im in the car I always wear mine because in Ireland anyway it is a serious offence and the police are always checking to see if people are wearing them. I don't have kids but when ever there are kids in the car I check they have their seat belts on first before we drive off because how horrible would it feel to be in a crash that a child got injured in just because you didn't secure them in their seats properly? That is the worst case so I would never chance it....always buckle up, I can't see why people don't. Its a natural reaction for me now when I get in a car.

I so hate the seatbelt that, everytime my friend gives me a ride in her car, she has to remind me to buckle up. Not that I don't want to obey the rules, but my system is so against this confinement, that I just simply forget.

Yes, everywhere but in my little town - the cops won't stop me. But it is law to wear it and I don't want a ticket.
My children are always buckled in - They need to be protected from crazy drivers. =)

when I was in my early twenties (during the early 90s) they passed the seat belt law in CA ; i was against it cause i viewed it as a maternal law that effected only me, so i rebelled against it
now i wear it all the time; although i think it is a good practice, i still dont think it should be a law; but that doesnt affect my behavior thes days so i dont make a stink about it
