Of that group, I'd go with Dave Stieb.

Stieb was the backbone of the Jays through good years and bad, a 200-250 innings workhorse who was also one of the best pitchers in the AL. In nine of ten seasons during the 1980s, he had an ERA better than league average, and his '84-85 numbers are among the most impressive put up by any Jays pitcher not named Roger Clemens.

Your list brings back some great memories, by the way. All of those guys were among my favorites, and those were some great days for the Blue Jays.

Here is my opinion in order:

1. Dave Stieb: greatest Jays pitcher ever
2. Tom Henke: their best ever reliever
3. Jimmy Key: Jays best ever left handed pitcher
4. Tony Fernandez: one of MLB's best shortstops
5. Kelly Gruber: excellent fielder and team player
6. George Bell: great outfielder, too much attitude especially during the later years.
7. Fred McGriff: good first baseman, great hitter.

I am disappointed you left off even greater Jays:

Lloyd "Shaker" Moseby
Jesse Barfield and his cannon like arm
Ernie Whitt: greatest jays catcher
Alfredo Griffin: excellent second baseman
Roberto Alomar: except for the spitting incident.

And the best of them all: Cito gaston. Led them to not 1 but 2 World Series.
