quetZalcoatl/kukulkan? from what i've read he seemed to be a relatively benevolent "sun-god" type entity, not seriously different from the sun deities of other "pagan" cultures. i don't recall seeing much about human sacrifices connected to his worship, however .anyway, the whole complex of religions in, mexico, meso and south america is fascinating and worth looking into in some depth: the toltec, mixtec, aztec, maya , inca, etc. truly engrossing.

I read that "QUENTALCOATL" was an actual "dragon". And that the Aztecs performed sacrifices to appease him....Fed him to keep him happy...

But who really knows
