How do some people become rich and famous in their career ie TV/Radio/Films/Politics etc with little or no apparent talent.

Don't forget to add business and sport too. Agree so far with all the answers, can't you just feel the bitternness, loathing, hatred and jealousy. How about Mrs Beckham, Michael Parkinson, Baddiel and Skinner, Alan Sugar,John Mcririck.

Oh boy.I'm afraid you'll have to pick one from my list if you like it;Bruce Springsteen,Bob Dylan,Neil Young as a musician not writer Celine Dion,Kurt Cobane.The fact of the matter is the music business is all about marketability even more now then in the 70's and 80's.Talent seems to have little or nothing to do with the star status of musicians.I played professionally for many years and by the time I was sixteen I could play anything on the radio.I was writing very progressive stuff just a few years after that but there is no market for that kind of music.

To many to list but here's an example you can apply universally even to jobs products politicians religion etc. that explains this phenomenon.
Person 1 sees a way (loophole) to make easy money (marketing/lying) with/using Person 2 (talented/altruistic or not). By selling to/victimizing Person 3, which Person 1 sees as prey. Problem is that Persons 1,2 and 3 are (a society that some knowingly, some in personal denial of such knowledge but all know) are the/in decay.

remember back in the day when you had to be truly talented to get a record contract...now there giving them away like FEMA checks!! I think I would have to say Brittany Spears ..I don't care what yall say, that girl cannot sing. Not to mention all the other pop princesses and wanna-be rappers.
