Whoever it is, I can only hope that it is not a republican! Realise that most politicians now work for corporate America. The corporations now run the United States, with the most powerful being Lockheed Martin, the biggest weapons manufacturer in the world, who gets the most money from the government for the weapons it makes for our government, including the Starwars System(Which, by the way, has failed all of the tests it was put through miserably), and the nuclear weapons platform, called the International Space Station. This corporation contributes the most money towards the polition of its choosing, thereby insuring that they have the most campaigne money to spend, and thusly pretty much controls who is put in office. I know there are laws against this, but you would have to prove they did it, and the only ones who can are the very politicians that they put into office in the first place. Kind of like having the fox guard the henhouse, dont ya think???

I think John Edwards will be the next President of the United States. I think the American public is hungry for open, honest government that is in touch with "average" Americans. I also think that the ethical base of this country has been erroded during the Bush Administration and that this is something else people want to bring back to politics. I am basing my prediction that John Edwards will be the next President on the fact that no matter what the "pundits" tout, the real people who vote will relate to Mr. Edward's.

I like Edwards, too. On the Dems side, my top 3 would be Edwards, Mark Warner, or Wesley Clark. On the other side, I like Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani.
Any of the above would make for an interesting race.
I think our next President is going to be a former governor, not someone who has been in Washington. The country is too POed at "Washington insiders" to vote for them. Just my $.02...
edit: Who whill make me vote for the other side (or 3rd party)? Jeb Bush, Hillary Clinton, Condi Rice, and any senator who voted against HR810.
Darqblade summed up my feelings on "insiders" pretty well.

hi Sweetheart, I loved Bronwen's answer and that i consider her that folk can learn about issues which have already occured. I "knew" that a woman were followed and that her call were replaced. even as she advised me her call changed into Annette, I suggested, " That wasn't the call you've been given." I honestly have had premonitions about someone interior the relations demise and then, gained a telephone call the subsequent day telling me that an Uncle had had a heart attack and had died. I dreamed of Princess Diana's motor vehicle damage the weekend earlier it occurred and that i defined the dream with the mangled motor vehicle and the tunnel yet I had no theory who the dream changed into about. So, I only prayed. I keep in mind declaring that 3 human beings might want to be killed, yet i did not imagine they were all and sundry I knew. after I reported pictures later, i presumed i'd considered that earlier. I honestly have under no circumstances been waiting to make issues come; impressions or intuitions do only. Now, I honestly have met some those who claimed to study minds and one gave me an poor headache. I under no circumstances get subject matters. She changed into doing some thing and it felt incorrect, like an invasion. I advised her to end and that i under no circumstances reported her lower back. An acquaintance reported a trouble-free assembly with a similar man or woman and earlier i might want to assert some thing, that pal advised me that the lady gave her a headache. twist of destiny? i do not comprehend. i experience in sturdy and evil. i experience some human beings are more effective intuitive or gifted with discernment. i don't think professional psychics that make their residing from their predictions. i do not "imagine" Hillary will win. i do not dislike her any more effective than the different candidate. i have not been loopy about presidential applicants seeing that John Kennedy. I vote for Bronwen's answer. Nudge, nudge! C. :)

You have a degree in political science, and you still think that John Edwards will be the next President? Boston U. owes you some money back, because they cheated you out of an education.

It will be a Republican. They are losing strength but the Democrats are also losing strength. The American political system is falling apart and there probably won't be many more Presidents.
I predict that by 2020 Congressional offices will be located in run-down strip malls and Capitol Hill will have become a ghetto.
But to answer your question, Condi Rice. She looks evil enough for the job.

Well, I'd like to see a Democrat in office, but the country has shown us twice over that they do not want this.
I hope the constant screw ups of the current administration change that, but I doubt it.
Who will win: Not sure if he will run, but John McCain would have a great chance.
Who I want to win: Barak Obama or any non-Republican

I dont think there will be a next president. Two things I think may happen. Months before election, Bush will call a state of emergency and suspend the election. OR Bush will help start the nuclear holocaust.
