Myself, I absolutely love Jonny Cashs version of 'Personal Jesus'. Moreover, I like Depeche Mode's version of 'Route 66' more than the original. Yourself?

Cascade's remake of the song "Everytime we touch", Ace of Base's remake of "Wonderful Life" (- british best ballad of the 87 hit by singer Black), ATB's version of Seal's hit single "Killer", spanish DJ Sammy's feat. Do remake of Brian Adams' "Heaven", turkish singer MADHOUSE's remake of Madonna's "Like a Prayer", Jordan James' remake of Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer", Enigma feat. Olive's remake of "You're not Alone", and german pop star Sandra Cretu's remake of "Everlasting Love (- way better than Gloria Estefan's attempt to resurrect this 70's dance floor filla).

I could literally name hundreds of currently remade hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s that are being played on pop rock dance radio stations around the world while we are engaging in this discussion. It's a shame that American media and preprogrammed radio stations pick up so few of those jems like currently the DHT's remake of Roxette's "Listen to your heart" (Pretty Woman Soundtrack). We should take an example from the British broadcasting media, who probably resurrect the most of these great hits by including them regularly into their play lists. Every week several new remade versions pop up on their charts, and it's a cool way of reintroducing the older great songs to a new generation. Currently a big hit there is a Paul McCartney's revamped version of "Say, Say, Say" that back in 80's also featured the squeeks of Michael Jackson (not in the new version though).

And this goes to the American media stations: For god's sake if you ane not into the new lively versions at least play the old great originals from time to time too. I'm sick of your 40 song repeats over and over on every genre of radio stations.
