you need to go to the doctor and get antibiotics. I spent almost a year trying to treat it myself and it did not work. You need antibiotics from a doctor.

EDIT: If you haven't chopped it off yet from what the first person said hear is a way you can take care of your beautiful toe.
Always keep it clean from any dirt. Wash it 3 times a day. Put Neill sporran on it or some kind of medicine that will help the swelling go down and keep it from getting infected. If you want you can bite on a stick and put some alcohol on it.

You probably want to soak in warm water with epsison salt. Besides that, you probably want to clean it with peroxide and use neosporin several times a day. If the infection is really bad, or if you start to get a red line traveling up your leg, you should see a doctor for a more aggressive treatment.

Clean it with SALINE but neosporin or somthing similar to it and put band aid or something similar to it on it. NEVER USE PEROXIDE it will kill the white blood cells and platelets that will help it clot up. I know this due to working in medical field. We hardly IF EVER use PEROXIDE any more to clean wounds. You could use betadine also.
