So far as we know, there is no physical evidence. However, there have been hundreds of thousands of officially filed reports concerning UFOs, collected by law enforcement agencies, government agencies and news agencies. Although there is no physical evidence (that we in the general public know about), there is a huge amount of "circumstantial" evidence, and if circumstantial evidence is allowed in courts, even in murder trials, why is it totally ignored in this case. As one UFO researcher said: "For any other subject, one tenth of the evidence we have would be enough to provide for a well funded study. For the subject of UFOs, ten thousand times the evidence is not enough."

It is not impossible, but it is very doubtful. "Flying saucer" stories blossomed right about the time the US Air Force were doing secret experiments that lead to stealth technology, and someone in the military engineered the "rumor" that it was UFOs to discourage suspicion among the public (an more importantly among spies). It was the greatest and most successful distraction ever, wasn't it?
