Going to a bar and drinking is not a good first date - I would try a nice meal or even just a coffee shop. Take a walk in the park or somewhere where you both feel at ease and can talk and get to know each other. If people spent more time talking prior to making a commitment most divorces would not happen. I like you statement "we need to get to know each other" that is so true. Have a great first date and I hope it leads to many more.

Dinner is always good. There's time before the meals come out to chat. Or coffee or a drink is nice too. That way if it really bombs you can cut it shorter than what the time it takes to eat dinner. :)

Take her out for coffee or ice cream, then go back to your place for a movie. This way is cheap, but effective and gives you ample time to get to know eachother better during the date. Good luck!

so you just met this girl and you want to go on a date right? how about lunch, a meal idea is always better than a movie. whatever you choose, just make sure that the activity you do with her allows for eye contact. :-)

DONT TRY TO GIVE HER SEX, UNLESS SHE MAKE THAT MOVE, U DNT WANT HER TO FEEL U DONT RESPECT HER AND IF U GO INTO IT PREMATURALLY IT WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING FOR THE WORSE. JUST HANG OUT, AND HAVE FUN. ASK EACH OTHER QUESTIONS ABOUT EACH OTHERS PAST OVER A FEW DRINKS, MAYBE A DRINK OR TWO WILL EASE U DOWN AND MAKE U LESS NERVOUS.

Go for drinks...or coffee...its more casual and you can get to know her and decide if you want to go for a dinner next time (which could take more time - don't want to get stuck in a long dinner and bad convo if there's no 'click')

coffee dates are always a safe bet... that way there is little to no pressure and its very casual and comfortable. I would say take her out to coffee and bring a jacket and if it goes well you could go for a walk afterward... (the jacket is in case it gets cold on the walk.)

go somewhere really quiet wher eyou can really talk without interference and a lot of noise. ask questions about things that are important to you in a relationship but dont make it sound like a job interview. be yourself and be honest. good luck.
