Vanilla Sky creeped me out more than almost any movie I've ever seen. It's good, but it's definitely not comedy.
The Incredibles and Half Baked are good
Also, you may find a lot of good comedy/dramas, because the genres aren't a dichotomy, but I can't think of any right now.

If you haven't seen some of these older movies, rent them:
Moving (Richard Pryor is in this - it's hilarious - older but you will crack up).
Midnight Run (it's on tv but a lot is cut out on the tv version - another funny movie)!! The "F" word is used a LOT in this movie - it's strange - it's like it almost has to be to make it so funny. That sounds immature but....oh, if you watch it, you'll understand what I mean). I don't care for the "F" word myself but in this movie it is acceptable for some reason.
If you want to see a good "feel good" cute movie that will make you really think (and cry a little), get "Pay it Forward."
Again, these are older movies - but you'll enjoy them I'm sure. Let me know what you think if you watch them.

"What Dreams May Come" starring Robin Williams. Don't worry, this one isn't a stupid humor-type movie. It's sad and has a very good meaning.
"Saving Private Ryan" - Tom Hanks
"Shawshank Redemption" - Morgan Freeman
"Napoleon Dynamite" - some ugly dude
Those are just some of my favorites
