Depends. Some landlords do background checks and don't want to rent to convicted felons. You could take them to court on it, but it would probably be a lot easier and cheaper to just keep looking.

Yeah but it's hard, I'm in Illinois and I've been rejected numerous times because of it.

yes but you cant get an apartment thats owned by the goverment such as low income or section 8
