Insiders say Indian superstar Sachin Tendulkar is the highest-paid player in all of cricket, although most of his $15 million annual pay comes from endorsements. Several Australians are also very well paid. Ian Harvey makes about $800,000 a year.

In 2003, Cricket Australia had 25 players under contract; their minimum salary was roughly $94,000. Furthermore, they qualify for performance-based bonuses and all share in an $11 million pot allocated to player payments. That averages out to about $440,000 per head. That's a big chunk of change, but Aussie fans will tell you that it's well earned.
