Cara Principessa

Tell him this from me...

"Please reconsider: your foreign policy; your approach to the environment; your attitude towards alternative lifestyles; your approach to bioscience; your management of the US economy; your dealings with big business and their lobbyists; your standing in the UN and please help push through the WTO talks for GLOBAL free trade"

sinceramente

I'd like to tell him that gay marriage is a very natural thing. That all the reasons given against it, actually make good arguments in favor. Monogamy, family values, all of that fit gay marriages.

Moreover, I've known too many couples where a man felt pressured to act straight, and eventually got married and had children with a nice and loving wife before he came out as gay. This is devastating to the woman, the children and the whole family. I'd like the President to think how he'd feel if one of his two (I won't say bimbo) daughters married a gay man in the closet. How would this affect his family? By accepting homosexuality as a natural configuration of mankind, and normalizing gay relationships, it would strengthen families, not hurt them.

Think "Human";
Think "Compassion";
Think "EQUAL STATUS";
Think about being a "Good Leader";
Think about "Your legacy and the bad history you're creating that will be in every textbook for generations".
Finally, "Think about the thousands of families that will be destroyed IF your amendment to the Constitution passes. Before doing more harm, be OBJECTIVE and stop pandering to the far-right activist so-called Christians who, by the way, are no longer your support base. Now is the time to be pro-active and progressive."

Best Wishes!

PS: Clearly this is more than fifty words; take your pick to use what you will. I read somewhere that "less is more" when writing.
I tried that once.

Ask him how much of Washington DC he has seen. Has he ever been to the projects behind the Capitol building? Has he seen the homeless sleeping on benches in downtown Washington? If so, how can he justify cutting Federal funding for community programs?

End your letter with "May God have mercy on your soul."

tell him that because he spent all of our moral capital as a 1st world power in order to invade Iraq for his own purposes; America is left without any influence to protect, for example, more teenage boys like Ayaz Morhoni and Mahmoud Asgari from being tortured and killed in Iran. There is always a price, why should little boys have to pay it?

Thank you.

Do you actually believe that the loving God you speak of so often would want you to hate others because you don't understand them? Or is it all really just a political ploy, and in reality you love your gay brothers and sisters just like you love God? I hope you feel the pain and shame you have pushed on others seven fold every day of your life.

you can tell him to let us live our lives and stop telling us what is right and what is wrong. and we do not tell him how to run the country anymore because he thinks we don't know what we are talking about because we are considered a minority. and tell him to wake up and smell the coffee because we are living quite well and we do have some dignity about ourselves and if he thinks he is so smart because he went to YALE, why did he get only a C- Average.

i hope that helps a little

Add in something about the right to be free in America to make our own choices as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else, and true love is good. And about the rights of the children of lesbian, bisexual, and gay couples. And that my religion as Christian gives me the right to marry whoever I love, and I want to call it marriage just like everybody else, equal rights.

you can tell him thank you for locking up saddam hussein and saving thousands of lives from his torture, you can thank him that iraqi women can go to school now and have a chance to have an education and a career and don't have to worry about getting picked off the side of the street and getting raped by one of the governments thugs, thank him for taking care of the military and there families, and please thank him (since 9/11) for going after the terrorists who want to destroy everything good about America.

Sorry to all y'all out there but I'm republican, and I support him...
I would like to tell him:
I'm glad I voted for you. Although I disagree with many of your politics, I have to say I'm proud you stick with them, and fully support your cause. Don't change. America can't stand without a strong foundation. : ) : )
