there is no need in dressing a dead body b/cos it is no longer sensitive but i feel poeple dress it just to show respect for the deseased

Because a lot of funerals are open-casket, so people can view the body. You can't really have someone lying there in a casket naked for everyone to look at.

why do they have open casket to begin with? Sorry, I just hate the whole funeral thing, especially when it's an open casket...the people never look right. My grandmother had this disgusting grin on her face, and really orange face....that image of her will haunt me forever
