Sharpies and most permanent markers have alchohol in them.(The bad smell) Using any type of alchohol cleaner will work to varying degrees, from experience, Acetone (not a brand) worked the best. But be warned; the alchohol will remove paint too, so wipe the area very gently!

Good Luck!!

Rubbing alcohol should get it off. Just use a little on a rag and scrub the area.

Sidenote: If you ever get any kind of ink on your clothes or skin that won't seem to come out, rubbing alcohol will work there too.

Good luck.
