It is unlikely that you are pregnant, but possible. Do get a test done to rule it out.

A couple of people said that if you have your period you can't be pregnant - that is not true! Spotting often happens around the time of your period if you are pregant in the first few months. It can be heavy spotting and be mistaken for a period. That is why it is possible you are pregnant.

There are many reasons why you may be late. Stress is usually the culprit. Hormone flutuations are common and can lead to a late period, especially if you've been on any type of hormone birth control.

If you've had your last two periods and this is the only one that is late, then no you are not pregnant. Having a period means that you are not pregnant because of essentially what a period is. You have a period when your body senses that the egg released has not been fertilized and certain hormones are raised to start the shedding of the endometrium. Not only that, but even if you had been pregnant, a period would terminate a pregnancy, as the fertilized egg is held in the material that comes out of you as your period. You cannot be pregnant and have a period. Any bleeding that a woman experiences while pregnant is NOT a period, as having a period would mean she has miscarried or was never pregnant in the first place.
There are many other reasons why your period could be late, just don't worry about it. Even if you skip a period entirely, you're probably okay.

First of all - Maggie - that is not true. some women continue to have a 'period' albeit a lighter flow, throughout their entire pregnancy.
also when the fetus implants on the uterine wall there is bleeding which can be mistaken for a period.
Aside from that, the summer heat can cause a delayed period or change in your cycle as well as diet and exercise.
If it has been three months since you had intercourse, you can buy a test and know for sure that the answer will be correct.
Good luck sweetie.

sometimes when your period doesn't come, it's because you are scared because you skipped a month, sometimes that happens, if you think that your pregnant and your scared your period kind of takes a while to come, so thats probably why you didnt have it for 3 months, and if you where pregnant i think you would have morning sickness by now. IF you are really worried you should go c a doctor, i have a friend where sometimes she doesn't get her period after 3 or 4 months and when she does get it shes happy (wierd), but what Im tryin to say is that, if this happens to you often from now on you might have whatever that thing is my friend had. I HOPE THIS HELPS !!! :o)

Late period does not necessarily mean you are pregnant. To know accurately if you are pregnant you may need to take various pregnancy test. You can also try a home pregnancy test kit which checks your urine for signs of fertilization.

"The beginning of pregnancy may be detected in a number of ways, including various pregnancy tests which detect hormones generated by the newly-formed placenta. Clinical blood and urine tests can detect pregnancy soon after implantation, which is as early as 6-8 days after fertilization. Home pregnancy tests are personal urine tests, which normally cannot detect a pregnancy until at least 12-15 days after fertilization. Both clinical and home tests can only detect the state of pregnancy, and cannot detect its age"

Go to the store & buy that test. If you are not pregnant it could have been for another reason like stress, or hormone inbalance. Depending on your lifestyle stress and hormone inbalance are the more likely answers.

Late periods can be from stress, new environment, lots of reasons- none of which relate to having sex. By they way, if you're asking this question (not knowledgeable about your own cycles), you have no business having sex.

No. Look at ALL the questions here about women asking "am I pregnant? ... but I had my period" it's ridiculous. Period = not pregnant.
