I'm having a rotaror cuff, probably tear on both of my shoulders and I'm wating for MRI results to see what is the degree of damage so I probably get Arthroscopic surgery. Orthopedic surgeon prescribed me Ibuprofen 600 mg/ three times a day. My upper back is super tense and I can hardly sleep. I wonder if I can take 10 mg of Diasepan at bed time and if this medicine does not conflict with each other. I was actually prescribed Cyclobenzaprine 10 mg(Flexeril) for release back tension by a Reumatologist, but I just took my first dosis and I had a terrible upset stomach so I stop taking it. the day after I took 10mg of Diazepan that I had at home, so I decided to self prescribed myself (wich I know is illigal and dangerous with out supervision) but guess what , I feel much more relaxed and 100% free upset stomach.

No. 600 mg of ibuprofen and 10 of diazepam are not dangerous unless you're driving. If they were, it'd be a bit late to ask, wouldn't it? You might try taking only half a Valium, though. You'll probably get the same relief without feeling like you're "melting."

If you're taking any other meds, though, check with your pharmacist. In fact, checking with your pharmacist is always the best plan.

I have been taking Diazipam (Valium) and Ibuprofen together for many years as needed under the direction of a doctor and have never had any type of reaction. If you feel the need to take a Valium at bed time, decrease it to 5mg. and see how that works, 10 is a bit too strong if don't take it on a regular basis. As soon as your condition improves, stay away from the Valium, it's very addictive. Also, sites I have visited on the internet over the years show very rare incidents with this combination.

Ive had a torn rotater cuff....and ibuprofen didnt help at all. You need something like lorcet, vicodan, etc. I took zanaflex for muscle pain and it helped more than flexiril. Anyway, to answer you question...you can combine valium and ibuprofen. Its not harmful, since it is two different things that are effecting your body in two different ways. Good luck to you. I still struggle with mine although Ive been off meds for a while now. Tell your doc to give you Lorcet 10......thats what I took.

Call your local pharmacy and ask your question. I take Lorazapan and Ibuprofen with no problems.

You really need to contact your doctor or pharmacist and talk to them about this. This is not the place for drug interaction questions.
