Why pack a bunch of cash? ATM's are around AND they will give you the best exchange rate.

A beer cost 1 dollar or less. A breakfast or lunch about $7-8, a dinner $10-20... A bottle of Absolut Vodka $25-40, I don't know what you want to do! If you have not payed the hotel, consider about $100-180/night, taxi from the airport to the hotel $15-20, tips the 10% always.
About $150/day, excluding hotel and shopping. You can always take back your dollars. Use ATM's to take cash, don't bring a lot of cash, you can use your credit card almost everywhere, without paying commissions.

You mean besides the trip & hotels? or just for spending (night life there)-------------- don't pay a luxury hotel.......... does not worth it, try Azteca Inn,

Unless you're going to buy everythingin sight and eat at all the gringo restaurants 3 times a day, $500 should be enough to have a good time.

I'd figure on $100 to $200 a day depending on how much you drink and what you want to do while there

Bring about 500 or 600 so you can get food or what ever you wont to buy.
