what kind of shades of makeup would look good? i have darkish olive skin tone, dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. everything i get looks retarded. help?

First off, dark olive skin tone is great.
If you want to make you hair stand out then you'll want to use someting that doesn't make it look dull. Try some matte khaki shadow on your lid just half way across going out. Then fill the rest of your lid in with some soft cream. Then on the top part from your eyebrow down to crease use a soft gold.
This will bring your hair and eyes together.
Keep the shade going with a soft suntan blush, and maybe you'd want to try Revlon Copper lipstick with a liner.
If you wear eyeliner Lancome has some beautiful khaki shades,
and always finish it off with curled eyelashes and black mascara.

You must look beautiful. What are you talking about? As far as the foundation goes, get the ones that have a lot of yellow in them. The olive in your skin can be thwarted by the yellow in the foundation. Use pink colors for shadows and lipsticks.

Black eyeliner will look good for a rock-like look, or just mascara. A brownish-red lipstick would look nice for the evening or a very tannish-khaki one, like flesh tone, with shine to it, like lip gloss, will look classy otherwise for day to day. Go for mascara and lip gloss and cover-up for any blemishes and undereye circles. Since you're very yellow-based, stay away from bright reds as they'll make you more yellow and try not to use golds and gold glittered things.

u have earthy look ...thats in trnd now ...first thing try to do light make up cuz u already have nice natural skin colour .....now.....clour highlight ur hair like ginger colour and try to use conditioner and after shampoo use bear for rinse it will give shine and bounce ... try for dark brown eyeliner on ur eyes it will definately compliment ur hazel eyes and skin texture ...use very light beige or light brown eye shade...and thick mascara and for lipstick go for glossy beige or light pink lipstick ....bleive me it all will change ur whole outlook

I would go au natural and use nudes and/or soft reds (not too bright) just enough to give color......especially if you say everything else you tried (i'm assuming color wise looks retarded)
