a little simpler than yours. I can not stand when people ignore me when I am talking to them.

Almost as bad is when they do not look at me when I am talking to them.

I can excuse some level of ignorance, as maybe they do not know better. Arrogance annoys me for a different reason. Socrates had it right when he said that the reason (he believed) that the oracle said he was the most intelligent man who lived, was because he knew that he did not know.

Likewise, I constantly remind myself that I do not know everything about any subject. There are some that I am considered an expert in. However, I still would not say that I know everything about it, because as soon as I do, some one comes along and says something simple that I never thought of before. I think being arrogant is not dumb, as much as it is dangerous.

Hope that helps.

People who will quote from books when you ask THEIR opinion on a matter. I wanted their opinion, not that of some author. Have people forgotten how to think for themselves, or what? Cant anyone form their own opinion anymore, or are they afraid to speak their own mind? I feel that people as a whole have become dumber in the past ten years, and saw conclusive data that agrees with this perception of people lately. There is a report, done by the Education dept of the United States which confirms my suspicions, called "The Dumbing Down of America" which exposes a plan to literally make the coming generations dumber, thereby making the United States population easier to control, and manipulate. This information is on the internet, as well as in news archives, should anyone care to look at it, or you can just take my word for it, and let someone else think for you.

People that slide their money on the counter instead of handing it to the cashier. People that stand in the middle of a walkway talking or doorway. Eating out at a restaurant viewing a table leaving it a total mess, certainly know they don't leave there table that way- that the its his/her job attitude. In all people think of more than just yourself think of the other guy during the day

One thing that makes me cringe is when people chew loudly, with their mouth open!

Also, arrogance is a big pet peeve of mine.

My biggest pet peeve is when I am on the phone with another person and they are carrying a conversation with me and with someone who is in the room with them. It totally pisses me off b/c you have to repeat what you say and then they answer "huh".....I hate that

When people use prepositions at the end of a sentence, when people talk you hear slob lol it's not like you hear slob but when they talk and slob i just can't explain it, when a fork scratches on a plate, chalk scratching on a chalk board, someone scratching their nails on a chalkboard. It just all makes me cringe, except the 1st one.

Laziness. I love people but the lazy ones require some extra effort on my part.
