Being stupid is definitely WORSE. The WORST thing is when stupid people use the wrong words in a sentence.

It kind of depends on the situation:

If I were on fire - I'd much rather have someone being mean while they are putting me out than to be stared at by someone stupid.

I am trying to think of a situation where stupid would be better than mean.

I can't even think of a Gump stupid situation so I guess being stupid or with stupids seems to be the worst.

Being mean is worse than being stupid. At least some stupid people are still nice and decent human beings. What's the point in having a brain if you only use it to offend and abuse others? It's easier to teach a stupid person to be brighter, than it is to teach a mean person to be nicer.

In this day & age someone who is not mean, is considered stupid. I have been in such a situation on numerous occasions. But I feel thats its hilarious. I cannot be mean & hurt other people. Just spare a thought for them if you were in their place. How bad it is. And you would prefer the stupid stance.
However don't think that I am stupid.

Being mean, cuz at least the stupid person could have more friends for being nice (yet stupid), whereas no one really likes a mean person.

Stupidity is worse. Being mean can have an advantage when used correctly, but there is no use for stupidity!

Being mean. You can be stupid without being mean. But you can't be mean without being stupid.

If someone is mean to another, it affects both parties negatively . It's a double negative. Two wrongs don't make a right. Fill in your favorite cliche' here_____________________________.

Being mean. The stupid person is always being him or herself and you can usually trust their naive intentions but the mean person usually has something ticking inside of them to cause them to feel so miserable and always wants to make people feel and look as bad as they do.
