What city do you live in?
If Miami or Philadelphia, you can go directly to the Office to receive your passport immediately.

By normal mail, 3 weeks.
Expedited, 2 weeks.
Whatevever the Office states, that is exactly what will happen as my girlfriend ordered the Expedited process, and it actually arrived in the advertised time.

Caution, be sure that all is filled-in as required, send in all required documents, and that you are mailing the application to the correct address, as the office has relocated, and sending to the old address will get your application returned to you, causing more delay.

The Post Office will know the correct mailing address.

Good luck,
Curtiss

4-6 weeks is what they claim is average. The expedited can be as fast as 2 weeks.

I recently renewed my US passport. It took about three weeks - and that was with mailing it to Canada.
