i have been searching for last 4-5 yrs about whts my interest regarding career... in simple i have been career counseling myself but couldnt find whts my interest.. and i am fed up, alone, and wht not.. ( i am not going to suicide)...but still i am hopeless now..caz nothing interests me..dont know y... ??...
people study 22 hrs a day of wht interests and suits them.. i have read many books on psychology, psychiatry, physics, medicine, engineering, computer science, economics, business, even anthropology, geography, history and astronomy, graphics designing, fashion designing, and wht not...but couldnt find anything interesting..:(:(:(... and i am hopeless... ???plz guide me.. how would i know..

I think you are not hopeless, and you are not the only one going by the process of finding yourself. I am also confuse, trying to find the interest in my career. I think that if you take the opportunities that life give you, you can at least know what you like and what you dislike. I imagen you have goals, that can help you find what do you really want.
For example, do you want to be your own boss or do you want to work for somebody else? by defining that you can at least begin to make your way into your bigger goal.
Make a list what you like, what you don´t like that can help you find your way.

1. Because you have no interest in your careerand your interest perhaps lies in your family.
2. Your counselling sessions have affected you after hearing the woes of many - take an off and have a changed environment.
If after (2) also, still you are not able to concentrate on your career, improve your family by concentrating more. Perhaps that has been neglected.

It looks like you are saying you are counseling yourself. If I understand that correctly, you haven't consulted a professional career counselor. I would suggest that you do that.
