Every team is a Super Bowl contender before the season starts. Who would have thought that the Chargers would have made the playoffs two years ago after getting the first pick in the draft. If you can get to the playoffs, you are a legitimiate SB contender and I think the Falcons have a chance at being in the playoffs.

With how well the NFC South is this year, don't be suprised if they are 0-6 in the division, they improved the least in the offseason and they didn't really do so hot late last season. Even the Saints look like playoff material this year. They would have been last year too but injuries got them. I think Tampa and Carolina are going to race for the division again...who knows though, New Orleans is looking decent too, maybe Carolina and New Orleans will be the top two, because Tampa really doesn't impress me right now.
I'll tell you, if Vick can start becomming a better passer and his recievers can back up Alge, they will have a good offense again, but the defense is what's killing them. Carolina outscored them last year 68-17...in earlier years Atlanta was always the one doing that to the rest of the division, a strong case for Atlanta not being the division bully anymore.
Another 8-8 season for them would be my guess right now.

The Falcons are an awful team. They just can't overcome Tampa Bay at all. They have beaten them once or twice in the past 4 years. And they will continue to get dusted by them and by Carolina also. Vick is the most overrated passer in the game. He has no pocket presence at all. Anytime he feels any type of pressure he takes off like he was shot in the ***. Everyone knows that now and thats why he is getting stuffed. How many 100 yd games did he have last year compared to years past? That's what I thought. The Falcons will be watching the playoffs from home.....again, because they SUCK!!!!!!

As long as you have Vick at quarterback the falcons will never be in the Super Bowl, big arm big heart but lacks the discipline to get past the NFL Championship game.

Heck yeah! we in simple terms might desire to advance the protection. In Matt Ryan's first season he made it 11-5. yet this season we can pass 14-2 and win the superbowl. No, theyll never over come Carolina this year and probably not Tampa Bay. People continue to think Vick is an elite quarterback in this league when its quite the opposite. He is never gonna be successful in a west coast offense with his lack of accuracy. Defenses have been spying on him and taking his runnung lanes away from him and his numbers have completely tanked. Atlanta needs to realize they have a better option on their bench i Matt Schaubb.

HELL NO. Michael Vick still is an inconsistent passer at best, and until he learns to become a more polished passer the Falcons will suffer.

OMG NO. Vick is the most overrated player to ever play any game. People are just now starting to realize this. They will finish 4th in their division.

HECK YEAH!!! This new defense is a force to be reckoned with! Awesome running game. ALL QBs better WATCH OUT. Defensive Line kicks ***, LBs are great, but safeties might get better.
