And if so what exactly do they do? I am not trying to be funny or disrespectful in any way I would just like to see what if any good they do. Most of what I hear from the NAACP are nut bags like this Dick Gregory guy spouting far fetched conspiracy theories about the governments secret plans to hurt or kill black people.

they are like most other organizations...they are in it for the money....a few profit from the group and they promte the few for their image......this is not just naacp......so when I give I give directly to those in need ...not through a 3rd party.

The NAACP did Alot of good for black people in the past. Today all I see them doing is clinging to the past trying to stay relevant. They appear to see 'rascism' in everything and everybody. I believe This attitude is holding them back slowing the progress that has been made. After all, If they are successful in their work, they will no longer be needed.

I see alot more Classism than Rascism in American Society. This attitude is alot more pervasive than rascism is. Great Question. I hope you dont get too many Lunatic answers on this one...but you probably will.

I agree with you. I think they just like to hear themselves talk, but in reality they do very little for minorities.
