This may seem like a joke...but try taking a Speech class in a junior college or even a university.
That class helps you open up to people by being confident and it helps your communication skills.
You can also try Motivational classes...such as Theater / Drama related classes.
Or volunteer in a local not-for-profit organization to interact.
Be Confident and doubt not

I know what you are saying. After I went through a divorce I couldn't meet women like I did before. They can smell lack of confidence. Just give yourself time. Don't hit on everything you see. Play hard to get.

there are lots of family and personal counselors who can often help a person improve their comm. skills. Communication is about relationship in any situation. Just the INTENTION that you have will help you along the way. good luck.
