The first link with the gold high heels is a big NO; it's too dressy and "older" looking. The others will be just fine. The third link with the black sandals is especially cute. As people go back to school shopping, keep an eye on what they are buying and what the stores are really pushing to sell--the most stuff they have is probably what is the most "in". You can never go wrong with several good pairs of blue jeans.
Visit Old Navy too.

The second pair is the most appropriate for school. Who wears gold mules in high school? Like kdancergirl, I would suggest Abercrombie and Fitch, and Hollister. If these are a little out of your budget full price, always check the back of the store for sales. Usually, Abercrombie has around twenty pairs of jeans or khakis (different sizes, of course) on sale, for jeans about 40-50$, khakis 20-40$. Hollister on sale is mostly tees and tanks, which go for $10. Hollister is cheaper. Also have your niece invest in a couple pairs of flip flops, from anywhere, like Old Navy's 2 for $5. Flared jeans are on their way out, but skinny jeans in most schools haven't shown yet, so she could get one pair of each kind, too.

he first one with the kitten heel is a little grown up for a 14 year old, unless it's like a formal dance, the others are cool, the best theing would be a good pair of leather flip flops by ROXY or Quicksilver or one of those surfer brands, a couple of good jeans that aren't to flaired, (last year) and get her toenails done, French Nails are the hottest.

Of those 3 i would go with the last pair, because they are younger looking, and less conservative. Most people at school will be dressed in jeans and t-shirts, maybe a cute shirt. But nothing quite as dressy as you have there.

The 1st 2 look too old for her like Granny old, the 3rd pair is great they are in style and my Daughter who's starting H.S. thisyear owns them herself. Actually Payless has tons of them and a lot cheaper. Get a few pairs to go w/different outfits...

I really like all 3 of those shoes i would personally wear the first one and the third one. But i know alot of people that would wear the second. So she should be fine with those shoes. But in highschool sometimes it isn't what you wear, but it is wear you get it from. Some of the "in" stores are abercrombie, american eagle outfitters, hollister, and and aeropostale. They are all pretty expensive, but i would say that aeropostale is the cheapest. I will show you a couple things that are really popular. So maybe she can get something similar, but make sure that she wears something that SHE likes, not just something that everyone else wears. So here are some suggestions.

these pants are very "in". Almost everyone has them, and they can be dressy or casual...perfect for school.

The natural colors such as brown and burnt orange and dark green are very trendy and alot of people wear them, i would only suggest wearing something like this if SHE likse it. There is not reason to wear something that you don't like.

These tanks are very clingy so alot of people wear them. I have one, but i only wear it when it is very hot outside. But you can also wear them under button up shirts or jackets to school. you can get them in many styles and colors almost anywhere

The simple polo shirt isn't very trendy, but they are great to wear to school on a day that you don't really feel like dressing up, and they are still cute.

But mainly people just try to dress like the people on tv, that is how all trends start. Some of the good trend setters for high school are:
Rachel Bilson http://images2.alloy.com/images/195x284/rachel_bilson_stripes.jpg

and several other female celebrities, so just check out what they are wearing.

i'm a 16 year previous female and that i do better than/equivalent to each and each and every of the adult males in my type. adult males as an entire are not from now on smarter than females as an entire. i imagine the reason in historic previous the whole inventors, musicians, artists were adult males because by technique of nature they're likely better centred and aggressive. yet that does no longer propose they were better...with out females with their comfortable, being concerned nature- the civilized international doesn't exist. imagine of the harvey females and different females who kind of "tamed the wild west". no longer to be insulting for sure yet even as adult males are on my own in a civilization they change into virtually animal like and barbaric. yet anyhow my element is that we are equivalent in intelligence yet distinct by technique of nature.

If her high school is as big as mine was, she'll want the brown flat. The wedge will probably be out of dress code and the heel, well she'll probably break her neck running from class to class.

She needs tennis shoes.

To be honest, she should just get whatever she likes. High school isnt a popularity contest and she will fit in if she has her own style she will fit in with her own crowd. If you look like everyone else then you wont be expressing yourself. Take this from me a high school student herself. You actually get more attention n postive feedback if you are your own person.

I like the first one and the second, not the last one. Some popular stores are American Eagle (ae.com) Abercrombie and Fitch (abercrombie.com) Aeropostale (aeropostale.com)
