I would tell him to forget about all the things that he thinks are important and focus solely on bettering himself as a person, quit wasting his time on senseless pursuits like partying, drugs, and chasing girls. I would stress to him the importance of recognizing that what he does now is going to directly impact his quality of life and where he will be in a few years from now.

From a strictly selfish point of view, I'd tell him to drop out of school temporarily and work as many jobs as he could and put the earnings into certain tech stocks that were going to go supernova at the time (that was the 90s) and in turn take the earnings from those stocks and put them into real estate. Oh, and STAY AWAY FROM CREDIT CARDS and read The Richest Man in Babylon! ;-P

I would also tell him to start taking better care of his body and get into meditation and bodybuilding.

Fantastic question btw!

Never bow down to peer pressure, never be afraid to speak up and be yourself

Don't use credit cards

Focus 100% on school and college - that is an investment that will pay off tenfold in the future.

If you're unhappy with yourself, CHANGE. Work out out hard...get a nice body...join clubs and activities...be involved in life.

I had a lot of problems growing up, my mother is schizophrenic I think I would just hug me, and tell me that one day I will be free, have a good job and be sober. I would tell myself not to cry so much, because I can't control what is going on around me. I would flush the anti-depressants down the toilet that I was taking, because I haven't been on them for seven years and I am doing alot better. I would have told myself to protect my brother better. I would have told myself to do way better in school.

The first thing I would advise "myself" to do would be to hang onto your faith no matter what! Don't put a man or other things before God's will for your life. Tell on those who abuse you immediately, don't wait until you're 23! Go to college, don't procrastinate which causes you to not go! Hang onto your self-esteem, don't allow anyone or anything to get between your confidence and your abilities to handle your own life.

I would've told myself to listen to my mom. I realize now that even though we fought a lot when I was 13, she was only looking out for my best interest. I also would've told myself not to worry about what other people say/ think and to just be myself. Because those who care don't matter, and those who matter don't care.

I would advise myself not to marry so young (19) but to live a bit more first and find my own path...at 41 now, I'm not where I would like to be in life, but overall Life is Good anyway. *smiles*
