Actually it is neither. Historically you find more pracitces of witchcraft in the European countries. In Africa it is Voudoun (voodoo) which is not witchcraft but a catholic infused religion. India doesn't practice it as their ancient religion is a medatative one, the same with indonesia. It is Eastern and Western Europe and the British Isles. Black magic is a misnomer, a title given to witches by the conservative Christian faiths. Magic has no color white or black. It is the matter of the intent that makes it for good or harm. Most witches (the proper ones) adhere to the wiccan rede which states An it harm none, do what you will.

"voodoo" is a very well known dark art. It originated in West Africa and due to slavery spread to places like New Orleans and the Carribean.
I work in London and some of my African born colleagues (who are well educated and integrated into British society) claim they have seen people wearing Ju Ju's (a form of enchanted talisman) become immune to bullets and blades.
Many West African nations (Sierra Leone etc) have apparently employed legions of "invulnerable" child soldiers who can neither be shot nor stabbed. I am not saying I believe these things but people I work with and trust swear its true...
In England, cults and witchcraft is said to thrive in small or isolated counties such as Cornwall, and the Isle of Wight, and has done since before the arrival of the Romans.
However with an estimated hundred thousand Satanists, I would probably say America was the home of Black Magic.

It depends on which one you are actually speaking of. Haiti and the islands are known for Voodoo, but that is different than witch craft. Parts of Africa are commonly known for Voodoo and other black magic. As for witch craft, that is really common in the British Isles. They are two different things.

Ok, you'll need to be more specific. Which are you looking for, witchcraft, or "black magic"? They are quite different things.
Witchcraft, often known as Wicca, is an Earth-based religion from our argarian roots. They worship along the yearly cycle of the seasons, equinoxes, and solstices. They celebrate the Harvest, planting, and etc.
Kudos to Ravenwolf. Magic is a form of power. It is neither "black" (evil) nor "white" (good). Think of electricity. Used properly and wisely, it can do great good. Used foolishly, carelessly, or maliciously, it can cause great harm. In all instances, however, it is not the electricity that is good or evil, it is the person using it.
"Black magic", magic used for purposes of gaining power over others, or harming someone is strictly forbidden by the Wiccan Rede: "An it harm none, do what thou wilt."

Some parts of Africa and Asia, but islands in the Carribbean/West Indies are famous for traditions of voodoo and 'black magic'. Jamaica, Haiti, and others.

Well, I think you are mixing lots of different things in your question. What do you consider witchcraft, what do you consider black magic? There are numerous pagan practices still very much alive all over Europe and Africa. Witchcraft as perceived through christian dogma is still widely practiced in Italy and Central and Eastern Europe, but these traditions are kept in families and you won't make them talk easily. Black magic is usually connected with African practices, but it's misconception - intent is in the hands of practitioner.

Witchcraft and so-pronounced as "black magic" are not a similar element. real magick knows no coloration and is practiced responsibly, with the regulation of three as a good solid foundation -- that being despite you deliver out is back threefold. If anybody ever asks for money in replace for doing a spell for you, beware. they are probable bogus and in elementary terms attempting to swindle you. Use Yahoo to study real Witches and you will quickly learn how to become attentive to the fakers.

First, magick isn't black nor white, it just is.
Second, Wiccans aren't "wanna be " witches, they ARE witches. Now, seeing that EVERY religion has its mystical side its hard say. in the past (ca. 300 years ago) I'd say England would have that honor. In modern times that honor would have to go to Haiti.
