There was this friend(girl) in my school that i have loved for months. I was stupid and didnt ask her out a couple of months ago, because i got nervous. I couldn't stop thinking and dreaming about her, so i finally asked her out last night. She said no, and i was almost positive she would say yes. How long do you think itll take for me to get over her, i was heart broken.

Till you find someone new. You may always have a special spot in your heart for her but time really does help. When you find someone new that will be a big help as well, but know that you may experience this hurt again. So repeat as necessary

well it's hard to say....probably a while...and u'll probably go thru that phase where u compare other girls to her....i speak from experience (but w/boys). but i'll tell ya, that time will heal a broken heart....it might take a while, but as time goes on u'll feel better. i would just try to keep urself occupied and stay busy so u don't get depressed or anything. well good luck....and i know a broken heart sucks a s s!!!

try not to let it bother you at all and go on about your life .. stay busy and do things you like to do.. just do not let what she said effect you..maybe it will look better on down the road.. just take one day at a time.. and try not to be around her very much..try going places and meeting other girls and friends...i can not tell you how long.. but the more active you are and keep your mind off of this the better you will be..i had a boyfriend that he wanted to see me and i thought things were going well.. he was a truck driver and i only saw him once a week... but he called every day.. then all of a sudden he stopped calling so much and then he wanted to do other things when he was free.. it hurt me but you just have to get over them.. i know it was to soon for him to get so involved with a relationship, because he has not been divorced that long but i thought he was ready.. but i was the one that got hurt in the long run...maybe he just wanted to hurt me because his wife hurt him.. who knows.. i still think about him and i miss him but i am getting over it.. but it does leave a scar...

Sorry to hear about that.

It may take some time. You can't put a time frame on things like that. Everything happens for a reason. She may change her mind later. Maybe try to keep yourself busy.

It has happened to all of us, you will be just fine. You will have MANY girlfriends come and go.

Good luck to you....you'll be just fine.

There is no one answer for this situation, everyone is different. Just find other things to occupy your mind and maybe start dating someone else. Before you know it you will be over this girl. I am sure that it is her loss. Good Luck.

It depends on your willingness to do so. Keep yourself busy and try not to think about the person. Sometimes it takes a while but if you don't sit around and dwell on it, things will happen.

Give it about a month. Just try to stay busy in the mean time, to keep your mind off of her.

Not long. You didn't even date. Getting over someone takes half as long as the actual relationship.

BUT...if you have to see her everyday, and get reminded of rejection daily...umm....you probably won't get over her until you date someone else! :-P
