You should have as many as you are financially, mentally & physically able to handle. It's more than just creating offspring. It's about growing/nurturing wonderful people, and that takes a lot of time & effort. I know that I am already stretched with two and a full time job, so adding a third would not be fair to that child.

Well, i can't have any and i can understand you not wanting any more because what if any of the females grow up and have abortions, like the ones you commented on to a certain asker, and you just have to tell them to rot in hell. I can see why you'd want to avoid that. It would be extra hard to have to say that to one of your own daughters. You're right you should stop at one. It is not O.K. to have an abortion. Abortion is sinful and contrary to God's will just as hate and sanctimony are. No one ever won anyone to Christ with venomous vitriol. We need to stand against sin and leave self righteousness at the alter with our whole hearted repentance. Without God's gift of salvation, mercy and grace we would all rot in hell. Ungodliness and meanness will make sure people rot in hell. I know that's not what any of us want. I don't understand the cruelty about your happiness that i cannot bear children.

I have 2 girls now (3 years and 1 1/2 years). And I have another girl who is due anytime in the next 2 weeks. I would love to have 2 more kids after a couple of years in between. If I could have boys I would be ecstatic, especially if I could have twins. But I'll be happy with what I get. But I think 5 is enough for me. My husband had 8 kids in his family and I only had 3. So we are going for something in between.

I'm hoping for at least 5, maybe up to 8 - Lord willing! Actually, I plan on letting G-d decide when I get pregnant and how many children we have. I think He knows best, anyway. Besides, the Bible refers to children as a blessing from G-d - and who wouldn't want the Almighty's blessing?
