At four months you are starting to stretch. Some discomfort is normal. I would still call my doctor just to settle my nerves, unless he has reason to worry, I assume a no office visit will be necessary. No Yahoo! answer will give you the same comfort as a nurse saying and possibly laughing that you are fine...so really just call them.

Yep, completely normal!! When I was preggers with our first child, I had this sharp, shooting pain on one side of my stomach when I was about 16 wks along. It lasted for days, and really scared me, but it turned out to be just stretching ligiments. It should stop soon. But, you start bleeding or if the pain gets unbearable, call your ob or go to the ER.

Totally normal. Your tendons are stretching and pains will get worse as you expand. Luckily it's only bad with the first pregnancy and hardly noticable with any others.

I am at 17 weeks and 1 day, and the same thing goes on with me. This too is my first pregnancy, so I call my OBGYN with everything, its quite normal!

You're good, don't worry! Everything is trying to grow and stretch to accomodate your little one, so there will be many more aches to come. It's totally normal.

Yes. Totally normal. Your baby is growing, and probably pressing down there.

Everything is moving around and stretching so it's possible but if you're concerned please contact your OBGYN
