if you are starting at a base. place your kick off foot on the front of the bag. place your other foot on the back of the bag. when the pitcher is starting to make the final round before letting go of the pitch you can step forward sooner with the back foot and as she releases the ball the front foot kicks off. it should give you better momentum and a slight increase in base to base time.
if you are batting. learn to bunt on the left. gives you one to two steps.
general running is natural but you should practice with sprints. learn to reach maximum speed as soon as possible. this will allow you to take longer strides. leaning slightly forward also makes you run slightly faster to keep up with your center of gravity.

When running focus on the base. Also don't forget to do practice sprints, lean forward and keep your arms pumping. Watch and listen to your coaches, this will help you not to have to slow down when rounding a base for the next one. Good Luck and Always have fun.

pretend like you are being chased by a pack of lions or pretend that this is the last game you will ever play so put everything you've got into running to that base or pretend like if you get out your life will be over, but if you get safe at the base you will live or something like that.
