because there was no dinosaours that could do the job of shoes.. and I wouldnt want to stick my feet in them anyways

Because they had not come along yet to invent shoes. Like the caveman, they walked around barefoot. Bedrock was not technologically advanced. They used the resources/tools they had available at the time to get things done.
