What are the best music files to use for your ipod? ex. wav, AAC, Mp3?

I just got a new ipod and half of my itunes library is AAC files and the other half is Mp3. I just wanted to know which one is better to use or which one is a smaller file.

Well ipod takes any file it doesn't matter !

iPods do not take any file! They don't take:
- WMA
- WMA DRM
- OGG
- FLAC
- ATRACplus

MP3's are the best for versatility.
