Yes, a guy liked me and wanted to date me ( I didn't like him) a group of us were dancing outside with some live music. He said "It's too bad your gay, because I would love to date you."

I said, "I'm not... who told you that?" But then he got this hopeful look on his face and I said I had to go.

I think maybe a friend told him I was gay so he wouldn't ask me out. Either that or he saw me and some female friends dancing and made some conclusions.... But we just like to dance and are good dancers, swing, folk, modern etc.

Weird.

I am gay and I have been called a ******. Before I realized I was gay I was called a ******. I am not even femanine. People are just confused these days and dont know how to deal with certain things, so it leaks out in other areas of their lives. Mainly by throwing negativity at other people. But, sometimes people will hold the negativity in and it will cause physical ailments to themselves.

Not in Y/A no but i got lots of sticks when volunteering with Body Positive in Scotland and promoting safer sex! Because i was the only 1. female - 2. heterosexual - I got labelled a lesbian and also having AIDS. So my friends got a T Shirt printed for me that read: "Warning: I am positive" at the front and "Attitude only if I'm also HIV negative" at the back ... But it never bothered me in the least because i find that when it comes to labelling ... Contempt is the only answer!

I haven't but I've been in company of others when they've called names like gay, lesbian, etc out of hearing range of the person in question. It's pointless and is used more as a meter of judging basic prejudices about that person's appearance, dress sense, way of walking than actually about sexuality. I believe it's not right to throw those words out there as insults, as they are just a different kind of human preference, just like whether you like sushi or not!

I used to be accused of being gay at school because I talk kind of posh, but now that I am having sex with far more girls than any of my former schoolmates could ever of dreamed of, the jibes seem to have fizzled out for some reason.

Yeah, after I cut my hair short (kind of like Natalie Portman's hair style after filming V for Vendetta) some jocks called me a dyke, which I'm not. I think it depends who is calling you that also. Someone thinking I'm a lesbian or straight is ok, but if I'm going to get a label I would like it to be the right one, which is bi.

Ummm, you posted this in the gay section. So no. I've never had anyone accuse me of being gay when I'm not.

Cause I am.

Yeah, I've been called a lesbo. (even though I'm bi) I really wish people would grow up. People laugh when I tell them not to say f*g and other cruel slang terms.
