Look at your watch, and loudly exclaim...
"I'm late! I'm Late! For a very important date!

Talk to your imaginary friend. You'll have to be very animated, so poeple won't think you're on one of those stupid ear cell phones.

Tell the guy behind you that you don't know what size condoms to get, and ask what size he wears.

Start singing a stirring rendition of "A Hundred Bottles Of Beer On The Wall", or "These Boots are Made For Walkin!", or "Amazing Grace". Encourage others to join in.

Say something really stupid to the person in front of you, then "let it slip" that you're on the staff of "Candid Camera", and watch them try to find the camera.

Talk very loud into your cell phone. Your don't actually have to call anyone.
If you had beans the night before, try for a SBD and pin it on someone else.
Spin in circles, but not enough to fall over.
Hum loudly, and deny doing it if someone complains.
Sing songs that you don't know all the words too, out of tune, with lots of la la ya dee dums in it.
Yell at your kids, only if you did NOT bring them.
Tell everyone you have a shirt/shoes/etc just like the one they are wearing at home.
The union shirt idea is good. Might cause trouble, though.

Think about about all the fun stuff you've done with
your daughter & friends, reflect back and even day dream
about things you might want to do, before you know
it the time and hopefully the line will end and there you'll be,
at the counter ready to get the heck outa there ......
Or: Yell out;
ELEPHANT STAMPEDE !!!
that might get some people out of line ..
The art of queing takes patience,
occupy your mind and the time will
move and so will the line ....
And ..........
Try to kEEp a smile !!

Why not go in wearing a "Wal-Mart Employees Union Of North America" jacket? That might make things a touch more....."interesting".

Since your question is limited only upto the point of while waiting in long and boring line up.....you can count the colors of various dresses wore by the fellows in line....and if there are more blues to green, then you are sure your stars are shining.... if not, then still you will have to recount their shoes. If there are less blacks then still you have your day in flowering manner ahead. Try it... not right now....but whenever you feel so.

i dont go to walmart around here, i hate the worthless incompetent employees and the bad news clientele that frequent walmart more than i would hate the lines. i guess i would make fun of the guy that just got caught stealing or make fun of employees that cant handle such tough work. ill send u a quick message of a short story about the wonderful service at walmart asap.

I sometimes make a plan what to cook the next days...and turn around to get all the things that came to mind. Or I just daydream.
Your nerves are too precious to let Walmart ruin them!

Bring a fart machine with you

Throw change on the floor and watch people try to get it

Start opening candy bars, taking only one bite from each (pay for them, of course)

Start a conversation with yourself
