no National borders, no Money, no Violence, no possession of land more than your house, No accountants, No private lawyers, Police to make sure you do not steal or violate the law, Elected Government with very little power, almost free utilities because we develop technology to make very cheap energy.
Will the current and future generations work towards these or opt for the scenario shown in Starwars - where the few very powerful people will rule the entire universe ruthlessly.

ok, there is a mistake in the question. I mention "almost free utilities" where as we are discussing no Money. So it should read free utilities.
My point is that will we develop our society towards this scenario by changing our values as is the case in United Europe after the WW II and the current developement or will we keep the current status of the few ruling the many and still some being left far behind as in Africa.

I've been fascinated by that question for years. The ownership of precious metals and cut printed paper, both with various numbers on them,(i.e."money")and collected and stored en-masse homes, banks, buiding societies etc, requires us to believe that a few people own all such materials and the majority own so very little of what is left. Ownership of these things brings only material purchase and has no other value whatsoever. All nations would have to agree a start date whereby the abolition of money would take place.I'd suggest 01/01/2010. At that point, our fellow workers would be working for the benefit of all humanity.People all over the world would then have enough to eat and drink and all nations would enjoy the benefits of good health no matter where on Earth they would live.In effect, men and women of all walks of life, would be working for the benefit of men and women in all walks of life.Far too much emphasis is put on the ownership of money and the pure material things it buys..As for your question about "Will the current and future generations work towards these..." etc I would have to say no.For certain, without money,it may well bring more love and emotional well-being.Our personal selves would be more content,a prosperity of universal equality on this small planet in one heck of a big universe and with one dominant species, (i.e "mankind") which had the ability to take the one last huge step forward, would be the biggest leap for humanity since we crawled out of the sea and began walking.

Simple really. Just better. The few powerful people already rule the World ruthlessly anyway. We're already in that scenario, we have to find a way to get out of it now, not avert it. The human race doesn't need men in dark suits to tell them how to live. WE ARE NOT THAT STUPID! We just need to take the power back into our own hands and govern ourselves like we once did. Stand up for ourselves. Power to the people, viva la revolution and all that!

Think about it....what was there before there was money? Trade!!! The best hunters would be at the top and we would be working a lot harder (think as farmers and hunters etc., but hey no one would be overweight). We wouldn't have any technology (no cars, heater, ac) because no one would develop such things because #1 they wouldn't have the time and #2 there is NO incentive to develop them. Money is an inanimate object, it is not evil, only the humans that handle it can be evil or good.

Would be nice, but not possible. Even with no money there would be a barter system and some would do better than others. Some people will be naturally lazy and others will be naturally hard workers and so the hard workers would end up resenting the lazy people and the lazy people would resent the hard workers what they have. Sounds pretty much like the system we already have in todays society.

"... almost free utilities because we develop technology to make very cheap energy ..." you completely contradicted yourself. your star wars ideas are illogical... come on now.
if there was no such thing as money, everyone would live off the land (the way it should be)... but you see, you can not take that away now, we are to accustomed to having our 'own' money... it would also force people to become equals... and most people want to be better than everyone else and they think money can do that....
talk about a war... haha if you ever try to take someones money.

In my opinion, this world would be a much more peaceful place. Money is the source of much conflict and violence. It is just the source of many problems and complications in the world. People have only made the world more coplex for themselves by adding in all these different systems, money included.

You know we are heading that way !!!! Look at the prolific amounts of Credit Cards available. We are encouraged to purchase on CREDIT. Instead of money we would have DISCS, purchased by C C. The Gov. have almost admitted in a private written answer that "money" should be phased out. They assume muggings would be cut by 50% at a stroke.

during the neolithic period there was no money, no national boundaries, no possession of land, no legal system ... and all your other silly ideas.
there were no cities, houses, roads, developed science, or agriculture (no money to pay for any of these things).
people were in a constant state of war (where there is no property and no law to protect it, the strong take what they want).
this is your idea of utopia.
it is my idea of the stone age.
