no!..No ! Not in those day children did for themselves and their parents. Now a day she would have everything to do.. Clean up after them , take them to soccer, ballet , football , to the park and watch them like an hawk, go to school almost everyday for discipline. She have to yell and scream as they get in their tantrums. the list goes on...

The rhyme didn't say she didn't have anything to do, it said "she didn't know what to do" to feed them all and get them quiet. Read the line in the context of the rhyme, which goes on to say she next fed them, spanked them, and put them to bed.
