Yes marriage is okay, but it would really take a strong and understanding wife to go through the not so normal life with him. The family already knows what to expect and knows he needs his medication which is very important at all times and that he will always be financial and emotionally dependent. If he feels he has it under control as to not do harm to his wife and possibly children, then he could get married. Nothing should be hid from the bride to be, be very honest with her and let her make the choice.

As long as his bride also has schizophrenia it should be ok. Seriously that happens a lot, and they understand each other. This way they both get government disability checks also so they have plenty of money to live on. I do not know though if India gives money to people with schizophrenia but in the U.S. they do, so maybe they could move here. And no, I do not have schizophrenia, but have worked in a mental hospital and seen many schizophrenic couples. If one partner does not have the illnes they usually have problems though.

Marriage could help improve his condition, but it could also be quite demanding on the spouse. Finances are important, of course, but with women working these days it's not too big of a problem.
Why does the marriage have to be arranged? Let him make friends, find his own love, tell her about the schizophrenia and let her decide if she can handle it. I'm an Indian btw...

my brother is schizophrenic and he's 31 and not married, he had 1 child and i feel bad because she has the same illness as my brother, i mean, i guess he can marry but i wouldn't recommend him having children due to the fact that schizophrenia is the only illness that is genetically passed down, if he takes his medication it's ok, but sometimes, they still act out, it depends on what kind of schizophrenia he has and how the bride will deal with it, good luck

YES ! everyone needs someone.if he or who-ever can find someone who excepts the illness and would give him the love and support as his family gives then i believe this could only make him stronger.

Yes, he can. However, if he goes to have children, keep in mind, it can be passed down.
