Is that true that when it's hot out (80 to 90 degrees F) it's harder to fish?

I was told that during hot weather that the fish hide twoards the bottom of the water. I'm fishing in a resevior that is about 4 to 5 ft deep. Fishing for Carp. Should I wait in the night when it is like 74 degrees.

yes they sleep in the dark deepest parts when it is hot
