In large cities or on heavily used highways, when there's construction, you always see two semi trucks holding traffic back. I think that makes things slower than they really are. Why do they do that?

You can only go as fast as the vehicle in front of you. Why is it a problem to allow 10 to 20 feet between a big truck and the cars in front of them when your setting in traffic? I did it because when you try to be respectful of the car in front of you and not hang on their rear bumper, a 4-wheeler that thinks he/she is so much more important than anyone else will cut in front of the truck. So, you back off from the ****** that just cut in front of you and give them space, and another does the same.

You sound like the type of driver that jumps in that right lane of a construction site, knowing the lane is ending less than a mile up the road, just to see how many cars you can pass that are being respectful and waiting their turn. Then when you get to the end of the lane, you cut someone off that has waited 10 minutes in line to get to the point you arrived at in 10 seconds.

Relax dude, you'll get to where your going at or near the same time. You'll just be in a better frame of mind when you get there. Think of it this way..... When you arrive YOU'LL be in a better place.

well sometime other drivers won't allow a semi into the flow of traffic and one driver will hold the traffic for the other driver to get into the traffic. it may not be politically correct but is necessary to keep the flow moving in the proper direction and allow the vehicles on the blocked side the opportunity to also get moving, also when a semi is making a wide turn one semi driver will run interference for the other to facilitate the turn. they do not get up in the morning and lay wait for a driver so as to aggravate them, remember the road is a pro. drivers work place and sometimes they push through with out thinking. i would apologize to any driver i have offended.

When a lane is closed ahead, we will block the lane that is closed and travel at the same speed as the lane that is open. That way the people who are in an all-fired effin hurry to get ahead of everybody will filter through, and the only ones left will be in the open lane, and traffic will begin to speed up considerably in a very short time.

When we don't you tend to jam in front and this stops us slowing down the flow. Why is taking your turn a problem. Many people go in front and then try to get in line when getting in line makes things keep moving. Doing this makes the people behind stop to let you in and the line gets longer. It seems getting in line as we do on foot works just as in traffic. Thank you for this question and I hope I have given a proper answer.

To make you mad.I know they have a schedule to keep and they are doing the best they can.Without truckers you wouldn't have groceries or clothes. They transport things you buy.Give em a break you think they like being stuck in the middle of a bunch of cars that dont show them any respect???

I don't think they are doing it just to piss you off. I think they just happen to be riding next to each other at the same speed. Cars do it all the time too.
