throughout all of time and space that ever existed---before the big bang- other universes that have come before and perhaps after,
Would it be possible if there was such an abundance of life throughout all of time in all of these other universes that we are surrounded by them? Could we now be surrounded by phantom life which is overlapping our universe? If we were put under the right conditions, maybe a certain drug, or a near death experience, might we be able to see them? Do you think they can see us?

There is an infinite number of dimensions where every possible scenario you can think of exists. If you think of a world with a purple sky? It exists. There might be a world with black sand on every beach. It exists. Maybe there a world where everything is the same except for one posting on yahoo answers that used a captial Yahoo in the last sentence instead of a lower case yahoo. Alternate realities exist. A drug may or may not allow you to interact with the different realities, but I would not know. Either way, alternate realities and time travel rock. Wish I could do either one.

Membrane theory (or was it super brain theory) gave rise to the thought that the big bang occured when two membranes collided and matter is the overlapping of those membranes.

But I think you were thinking of something a little different.

If your theory...
1. Doesn't violate any known law of physics, and
2. Can't be proven or disproven

Then it's just as good as any.

First part Yes. Overlap possible. Befor colliding galaxies overlap. Second part little possiblity
