Why do you think one is worse than the other?

That depends on who you are asking. According to the American government, terrorism is the biggest problem in the world. I happen to heartily disagree.

The majority of people in the world are poor, this is a fact. Terrorism threatens those who are well-off, comfortable, and don't want to be disrupted. There are, of course, some parts of the world where everyone is always at risk of an attack, but if you look at the numbers, for every person who dies from terrorism, many, many, many, many people die of starvation.

On top of this, living in an area where terrorism is a threat may be a bit scary, but it can still be a good life, since the odds of a single person being directly affected are relatively low. Living with starvation, however, is a problem that plagues a person for their entire lifetime.

Personally, I think that we should be putting as much of our resources as possible towards helping the impovershed people of the world better their situation. I'm not talking about just giving them food, but helping them learn to produce their own, and to construct wells that can supply clean water. Instead, our resources are going towards invading other countries, killing people, and scaring the hell out of everyone possible so that nobody says a bad word about the government.

It's a sad world we live in right now. I wish I could say I expect it to get better.

Actually, starvation is worse in the world. It's just that terrorism is the "sexy" story right now, getting all of the attention because it gets people to watch the news.

Starvation affects more people worldwide than terrorism. And I think that if you knocked out starvation and poverty, terrorism would also deminish as well.

Starvation is the biggest problem faced by the present ERA... Terrorism damages the civilization and is a temporary problem.... But, Starvation is like a parasitic animal... It not only effect but completely wipes out the civilization.

Terrorism can even CAUSE starvation.. think about it... a terroristic regim takes over and all sorts of bad things happen. PLUS terrorism spreads....and is done out of hate... and ignorance. People treating people like trash is one of the worst things in the world

Both are huge....but if everyone all of a sudden had enough food and water, would the terrorists all of a sudden stop killing babies? At the very least, terrorism takes money away from humanitarian efforts in every country on the planet.
